When you have gone thru a healthy diet but losing weight slowly, you may need to be aware of “hidden enemy”. Tired of eating the fruit, a packet of biscuits with the logo of low fat prepared to be your friend this afternoon. Tomorrow, there will be free fat pudding, low fat chocolates and sweet as an alternative. In your mind, low-fat foods or without fat are good for the body. But this is indeed wrong.
Do not be fooled by the logo on the food packaging. Every dish must contain calories. Not just the fat that you should be aware of, but the calories are. You need to familiarize yourself to read the Nutrition Fact. A pack of biscuits that you eat contains 400 calories, virtually almost equivalent to a plate of chicken fried rice that contains 600 calories. There is nothing wrong to know the calories content of what goes into your body every day. Knowing what is needed by the body (not the tongue) is the key to the success of your diet.
In one day you severe for hungry but feel guilty to eat, then the uncomfortable feelings arising due to crave food. You become less excited and feel uncomfortable. If this is what you feel, you may have been overwhelmed with the stress of dieting.
Stress when dieting can trigger increased production of the hormone cortisol, a type of hormone associated with abdominal fat production. Dieters have increased weight due to stress during a diet.
To transform the feelings that can trigger stress, you may play your favorite game a few minutes. You simply chat with friends at the office. In essence, happiness and positive thinking is the instrument in the success of your diet.
Weight loss tends to increase when a person starts work, and these mostly occur in those who routinely perform activities in the room. Work is piling often makes you forget to move. Although your diet is correct, the accumulation of fat will still occur if your body is rarely driven.
Air conditioning also make the body gain fat. In the room without air conditioning, body expends energy to adjust the temperature of the surrounding environment. To get that energy, your body will automatically burn fat. While AC instead OF create a spoiled body because the body is in the thermo-neutral zone or a temperature zone is no longer releasing energy to adapt. That’s why sometimes trigger air-conditioned room feeling lazy and sleepy to move. Begin to take advantage of your rest time to the streets if only to visit colleagues in the next room.

Watermelon is is sweet and fresh, but is it effective in eliminating your hunger? However, watermelon indeed has many unexpected advantages. Watermelon, like tomatoes, contains lycopene, an antioxidant that helps to fight heart disease and reduce various types of cancer, particularly prostate cancer. The content of lycopene in watermelon is higher among other vegetables and fruits.
Watermelon is classified as free from fat, low calories, and therefore regarded as an ideal food for the diet. The fruit is a good source of energy too. Watermelon can also be a multi-vitamin intake. By consuming just two cups pieces of watermelon, you have got the intake of vitamins A, B6, and C.
Vitamin A, as you may know, is good for eye’s health. Consumption of this fruit regularly can help prevent night blindness and boost immune function by enhancing the infection-fighting white blood cells called lymphocytes.
As for vitamin B6 was used by the body to produce chemicals in the brain, such as serotonin, melatonin, and dopamine. In various studies previously seen, these compounds help the body cope with anxiety and panic. Vitamin B6 also plays a role in turning protein into energy.
The vitamin C helps strengthen the immune system to fight infections and viruses, heal wounds, prevent cell damage caused by free radicals (which can accelerate aging and conditions such as cataracts), as well as helping healthy teeth and gums.
Two cups of watermelon is also a source of potassium, minerals needed to balance the water and found in every cell. Potassium also helps maintain the body’s electrolyte levels and acid-base balance, and help reduce the risk of high blood pressure. No less importantly, potassium also helps muscle and nerve function.

Milk may not become your daily beverage. We may only drink it when we were a baby, or when we were pregnant, breastfeeding, and when we started to have porous bones. In fact, we should have to get used to drink milk since our productive age. We certainly would not want to experience bone loss. Do not forget, women are more susceptible to osteoporosis. When woman get pregnant, calcium in their bodies will be absorbed by the baby so they need to add the calcium intake. Reason of why you need to drink milk everyday is:
1. Helps maintain weight
Many may say drinking milk would make you gain weight. But in fact, people who consume more dairy products will be more streamlined. Body fat content was lower than those who rarely drank milk. Milk is better able to make us feel full, rather than other types of beverages. Most likely this is due to protein content. People who drink milk without the fat will feel more full, so they eat less. This does not occur in people who drink juice. So, if you want to keep your weight at a normal rate, you may choose low-fat milk (or nonfat). A glass of low fat milk contains just eight grams of fat.
2. Build bone
A cup of milk provides 30 percent of daily calcium requirement. Calcium is the mineral that helps build and maintain strong bones and teeth. Calcium is important for bone formation at children and adult. It also helps build bone mass which gradually disappear as we grow old. To get the calcium intake from other foods (with an equivalent amount), for example, you must eat more than seven cups of raw broccoli.
3. A Source of vitamin D
Vitamin D is not only essential for calcium absorption, but also improves the immune system, reduce the risk of some cancers, diabetes and multiple sclerosis, and ensuring better blood pressure. Nearly 43 percent of milk provides vitamin D that we get from food.
4. Strengthen muscles
A cup of milk contains 16 percent of daily intake for protein, which serves to build and repair muscle tissue. Several small-scale research conducted by the dairy companies found that chocolate milk can help athletes recover energy, even better than sports drinks. Milk chocolate contains a mixture of proteins and carbohydrates the body needs to restore energy supplies after a heavy gym session.

Some people love to drink tea in the morning. For them, it is like a morning habit, tradition or even become a culture. They believe drinking tea could give a fresh feeling and sense of calm. If drinking tea related to habit and culture, how many cup of tea to be drank is depend on the individual person. In normal body condition, 50 milligrams of L-teanin, equivalent to three cups of green tea, and it is safe to be consumed every day. The habit of drinking tea make general body conditions of the drinkers remains fresh.
Green tea became the most dominant product in the tea. It gives the drinkers a better health benefits. This does not mean value of green tea is higher than other type of teas. It is because of a green tea processing is through fermentation. As a result, the content of antioxidants in green tea is higher compared to other.
If you drink tea more often, it makes us healthier, just like white water does. Because 99 percent of the tea liquid is pure water, and only one to two percent of all content of tea is in a cup of tea.

There are people that go to the bathroom frequently only to wash their hands or apply antiseptic lotion. They choose selectively where they are going to eat. They are willing to eat at clean restaurant only and not willing to take anything from roadside that they are not sure it is clean or not. If you are one of them, please beware, because you might even be easy to get sick due to the overly sterile lifestyle.
Cases associated with allergic diseases such as asthma, eczema, and multiple sclerosis have increased due to excessive application of hygiene in developed countries. Allergies can indeed caused by a number of factors, such as family background, a polluted environment, processed foods, stress and unhealthy lifestyle(smoking and love to eat junk food). Minimal exposure to the bacteria in the environment in which we live could be the factor most important allergens.
Bacteria in the human body’s digestive system are useful to teach us how the body reacts to foreign substances. Over maintaining the cleanliness of it could prevent dangerous bacterial attack. But, at the same time limiting ourselves from exposure to microorganisms are profitable, and reduce the “exercise” that should be done by the body in order to combat the disease in the future.
Some time ago stated that one causes the body’s immune system is not well developed is the lack of someone introduced and exposed to dirt. There were dirt, bacteria and other microorganisms in a certain degree it actually beneficial to one’s health. Deliberately visiting a sick friend could help us to form our body’s immunity against disease. As long as it is done carefully and balanced with a healthy diet and exercise, these habits will make our body getting stronger.
However, overlap directly with bacteria and others are also not beneficial to our health. If we are too often getting ill, we would weaken the stamina and the body does not have enough energy to strengthen the immune system.
Steps are still quite safe yet effective enough is reset our censor against things that are usually shunned. For example, do not have to always wash our hands after every handshake with others. Outdoor sports like hiking, biking, jogging, are better than choosing to work out in the house or at the gym.

Nicotinic acid, or what is commonly known as vitamin B3 or Niacin, is one of the essential human nutrients needed by our body. It helps DNA repair, helps the body to produce natural steroid hormone and play an essential metabolic role in our body cells. People who do not get sufficient intake of niacin may suffer from slow metabolism, less tolerance to cold, diarrhea, dermatitis and dementia, among others. But other than being needed for our metabolism, niacin is also clinically documented as being able to promote healthy cholesterol. Niacin use is recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the National Cholesterol Education Program for people who could not maintain cholesterol level within normal limits by diet alone.
In certain dosage, niacin is able to block the breakdown process of fats in adipose tissue, reducing the amount of free fatty acids in the blood, thus decreasing secretion of very low density lipoprotein and cholesterol in the liver. But what type of niacin is good for certain health or medical condition? A study reported at an annual meeting of the AHA shows that, when added to statins; slow release niacin is far better than ezetimibe in reducing marker of atherosclerosis. In the past, many people avoided using niacin due to the skin flushing effect they experienced. This has been solved by the invention of Wax Matrix Extended Release Niacin. An extended release niacin works effectively while eliminating the unpleasant skin flushing that some people experience. If you are considering taking niacin, you may need to consult with your physician/doctor first. Use of niacin for maintaining healthy cholesterol level should always be supervised by your doctor or physician.

Sleeping is useful not only for our physical health, but also good for our mental. If you lack of sleep, a lot of bad influences could arise such as decrease work performance, irritability, human error risk is higher, and other health related effects. Do you know that three out of four adults in America suffer from chronic sleeplessness? One in three sufferers experience fatigue problems, from lack of sleep that affects their daily activities. How to get to sleep is not as simple as it seems for certain people.
What exactly things that causes trouble in getting to sleep? Well, it might be pressure at work or conflicts in relationships, and those factors make our mind do not stop working at the time that is supposed to sleep. The brain will be raging, in between wanting to sleep and solve out the problem. Sleep also needs a skill that must be built from within you, rather than just be forced to close your eyes.
1. Make sure there is no work left
Little simple things like not reply to short message or e-mail, sometimes be distracting. Before you sleep make sure all the affairs of the day is over so you can be more relaxed.
If you do not have left time to do your work, write in a memo so that it could be continued to the next day. At least you feel calmer because there is reminder that the job could not be abandoned.
2. Do not be too dependent on the alarm
The alarm is only used to indicate the time when to sleep and when to wake up in the morning. Do not be too dependent on an alarm to set the time. This will only make your sleep get disturbed.
Also avoid other distractions before bedtime, such as watching television or listening to music. If there is time for bed make sure no other activities will disturb you.
3. Calm your mind
Calm the mind is very important, but it is rather difficult to do as simple as just instructing the mind not to worry about anything. Since fulfilling the mind is about tomorrow’s events at bedtime comes, it will only hurt our sleep. Instruct yourself to understand this.
Avoid stimulants such as caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol six hours prior to sleeping time. These types of drinks will make your mind fresh and reduce hours of sleep that you have previously set.
4. Create image imagination
Select images of imagination that makes you feel calm. It will make you think, not what the origin is not excessive. Focus on color, shape, and the slow motion of the image of this imagination. If goes well, this picture will hypnotize you into sleep.
Better not include elements that stimulate the emotions, such as ex-girlfriend or else. This picture will only disturb your mind and provoke emotion.

Ideally, we drink at least eight glasses of mineral water in a day. We may hear this advise many times. In addition to avoid dehydration, we need to meet the need of water to help our body metabolism. Not to forget, to expedite the process of digestion in the body.
However, sometimes we may forget the minimum amount needed that is referring to the mineral water, not other types of water. Relieves thirst with ice tea, fruit juice, syrup, ice coffee, diet soda is actually not included in the effort to meet the needs eight glasses of water in a day. People who drink diet soda every day for seven years, amounting to 41 percent have the potential to gain their weight. That could happen because of all the sweet drinks contain calories. If we consume it regularly, it will definitely affect our weight.
Therefore it is good to get use to drink mineral water anytime, anywhere even when we having our meal at the restaurant. If we prefer tea or coffee, it is okay to have it once in a while. However, it is good that there is no sugar added to our drinks. Switch on to the artificial sugar or low calorie is also not the best solution. To add flavor to the mineral water, we can add lemon. It is certainly safe and not harmful to weight loss.

Fat belly is not only has impact on the aesthetics of physical appearance, but also leads to health risks. Overall, it can be said accretion abdominal circumference or a central obesity patient is associated with disease risk and ultimately reduce life expectancy. There is a reduction of life expectancy in patients with obesity, about seven years, even in smokers and obesity decreased life expectancy around 13 years. However, what are the risks of any disease that lies behind the fat belly?
Insulin Resistance
Increased abdominal circumference, automatic increase in body fat tissue. This can cause disturbance in insulin (insulin resistance). Obesity is leading you to high free fatty acid in the blood stimulates the release of cytokines that can lower insulin sensitivity.
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Conditions of insulin resistance that continues with a diet high in calories, making the body try to compensate by producing extra insulin. The goal is to balance the calorie intake and stabilize blood sugar. Unfortunately, this ability is highly dependent B-cells in the pancreas. If the adaptability of cells that regulates insulin production increase is reduced, then a glucose tolerance when the body fails to be a disorder of type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Coronary Heart
Conditions of low insulin sensitivity and also cause abnormalities in the metabolism of the body, such as dyslipidemia, hypertension, atherosclerosis, and formation of pro-coagulant (blood coagulation accelerator). These are risk factors causing coronary heart disease.
