Zodiac, in its most scientific essence, is the ring of constellations along the path followed by the Sun throughout the year. The knowledge to divide Sun’s path into twelve zones which have equal celestial longitude is said to have existed since the Chaldean period -about 500 years BC in Babylonia. The word Zodiac itself was derived from a Greek term zodiakos kuklos which means Circle of Animals. Other than being used for astronomical reasons, knowledge about zodiac signs is also highly sought-after for astrological ones. Today’s astrological tradition is derived from the work of Ptolemy who rationalized and set down each sign’s functions in his book Tetrabiblos.
Many people believe that Zodiac signs could give you great insights into your daily life as well as certain characteristics possessed by individuals. But for uncertain reasons, Ophiucus is not included as astrological sign.
Believe it or not, horoscope signs are used in some companies to help their human resources departments to decide whether a person’s certain habits or characters, influenced by his/her zodiac will get along well with the existing staff and who should be placed in what position and why. Some people also consider zodiac incompatibility as the main reason of their failures in relationships. But many astrologists believe that the general rule of thumb is, if you wish to have beautiful relationship with a significant other, it is suggested that you do the following actions instead of waiting to find the astrologically-right partner: Be kind and understanding to each other.
